10.1. How to Install the Module¶
Once you have finished creating the course, you will add content (modules) to the course page.
How to Install the Module¶
Before you begin Click "Edit mode" in the upper-right corner of the screen to enable it. If you do not do this, the edit menu will not appear.
1. Go to the course page, click "Edit mode" in the upper-right corner of the screen, and enable it.

2. Click the "+" icon in the section and select "Activity or Resource" to view a list of available modules.

3. Enter the module name, description, and other details, then click "Save and return to course" at the bottom of the page. Fields marked with an "!" are required.

4. After installing the module, you can move it to any location using drag and drop.

5. Click the ellipsis on the right side of the module to edit it or change its location. Once you’re done editing, turn off “Edit Mode.”

Common settings for all modules¶
After installing the module, configure its settings. Modules have both common settings and module-specific settings.
For details on the settings specific to each module, please refer to the settings page for that module.
<Common Module Settings>

-
Availability: Use this to show or hide the module to students on the course. Use this setting when you want to hide a module that is currently under preparation.
-
ID Number: Used when integrating with external systems. ID numbers must not overlap with those in other modules.
-
Force language: Displays the content in the language specified during display.
-
Include in course content downloads: This setting determines whether content can be downloaded when course content downloads are enabled.
<Usage Restrictions>

Access restrictions are settings that impose conditions on access. You can configure the following options.
-
Activity Completion: Allows access to other modules based on the "Activity Complete" condition. To enable this setting, you must configure the "Complete Condition" setting in the modules you wish to add as conditions. This is used, for example, when you want to prevent students from taking a quiz unless they have reviewed the materials.
-
Date: Set this to restrict access until the specified date.
-
Grade: Access will be granted if the grade for the specified module meets a certain threshold.
-
Group: Access is restricted to users in the specified group. This option is useful, for example, when you want to create groups for specific classes or grade levels and apply access restrictions.
-
User Profile: Access is granted based on the user profile of a student. Use this option when you want to restrict access to specific users only.
-
Other courses completion: You can access these courses after completing other courses.
-
Restriction Set: Combines multiple restriction criteria to enforce access restrictions.
<Completion Conditions>

If you set a "Completion Condition" a checkmark indicating "Completed" will appear next to the activity on the student's screen once the specified conditions—such as "Students must manually mark the activity as done" or "viewing a specific activity"—are met.
You must also configure this setting if you want to use "Activity Complete" when applying usage restrictions.
<Competencies>

You can assign competencies to modules. Competencies refer to a list of items designed to help students achieve learning objectives, such as "what skills they will acquire through the course."
To use this feature, an administrator must enable and configure competencies for the entire site.
For items not listed here, please refer to the official Moodle website or click the "?" icon in the bottom-right corner of each screen to access "Documentation for this page."
