10.15.6. Taking the Exam After the Deadline Has Passed

Once the "deadline for taking the quiz" has passed, students will no longer be able to take the quiz.

You can extend the test period by resetting the "End Date and Time of the Test Period" in the quiz settings.
In this case, the exam period will be changed for all participants.

If you wish to extend the exam period for specific students or allow them to retake the exam

Use the override function if you need to extend the exam period for a specific student or allow them to retake the exam.

1. In the "More" section of the quiz, click "Override"

2. Click "Add user override"

3. Configure the override settings and click "Save"

Override settings

• Override user: Select the users for whom you want to extend the exam period or allow retakes.
• Require a password: If you want to require a password when taking the exam, enter a password of your choice.
• Open the quiz: Set the start date and time of the period during which students can retake the quiz.
• Close the quiz: Set the end date and time of the period during which the quiz can be retaken.
• Time Limit: Set the time limit for the exam.
• Attempts allowed: Set the number of times the exam can be retaken.

4. The users for whom overrides have been set will be displayed, and those users will be able to retake the quiz under the specified conditions.
