What is a URL?

Use this when you want to create a page on your course that links to an external URL.

1. Install the "URL" module.

10.18.2. URL Settings

  • Name: Set the name and link text of the module displayed on the course.
  • External URL: Specify the destination URL.
  • Description: This is the module description. It can be displayed on the course page.
  • Display: Configure the display format of URLs.
    • Automatic: Moodle automatically determines the best display method and displays the content accordingly.
    • Embed: Displays the linked site within a frame.
    • Open: Clicking the URL will open the linked page directly.
    • In Pop-up: Displays the destination of the URL in a pop-up window.
