10.21. About Folders

What is a folder?

If you use the "File" module, you can upload only one document; however, by using the "Folder" module, you can bundle multiple handouts for download.

10.21.1. How to Use Folders

1. Install the "Folder" module.

2. Configure the module. Once you have finished configuring it, click "Save and view"

  • You can also create and manage folders within the system.

10.21.2. Folder Settings

  • Name: The name of the module displayed on the course page.
  • Description: This is the module description.

  • Files: Upload the content of the materials you wish to distribute.

  • Display folder contents: Configure how uploaded files are displayed on the course page.

    • On a separate page: The page will reload, and the folder contents will be displayed.
    • Inline on the course page: The contents of the folder will be displayed inline on the course page.

  • Show subfolders expanded: Set whether subfolders should be expanded when uploaded.

  • Show download folder button: Add a button to download the entire contents of the folder.

  • Force download of files: Configure whether files that can be displayed in the browser should be displayed directly or forced to download.
