10.4. About SCORM Packages¶
What is a SCORM package?¶
A SCORM package is a learning resource that presents content in a step-by-step manner, such as guiding users through a series of slides and presenting questions along the way. You can use SCORM-compliant learning content created in external software within Moodle.

10.4.1. How to Use SCORM Packages¶
1. Install the SCORM package module.

2. Configure the SCORM package and click "Save and view"
3. You can check students' test-taking status under "Reports"
10.4.2. SCORM Package Settings¶

<General>
- Name: The name of the SCORM package.
- Description: This is the description for the SCORM package.
<Package>
- Package file: Upload the SCORM course you created.
- Auto-update frequency: Configure settings for automatically downloading external packages.
<Appearance>
- Display package: Configure which screen to display the SCORM course on.
- Disable preview mode: This setting prevents you from previewing the exam before taking it.
- Display content structure in player: Set the location where the table of contents for SCORM courseware is displayed.
- Show navigation: Set the location of the navigation buttons.
- Display content structure on the entry page: Displays the structure of the SCORM courseware in the content outline.
- Display attempt status: Configure settings to display the user's exam status.
<Available>
- Available from: Set the start date and time for the module.
- Available to: Set the end date and time for the module.
<Grade>
- Grading Method: Set the grading criteria.
- Maximum grade: Set the maximum score value.
<Attempts management>
- Number of attempts: Set the number of times the exam can be taken.
- Attempts grading: Configure the grading settings for cases where a student takes the exam multiple times.
- Force new attempt: Configure the behavior when a new attempt is made.
- Lock after final attempt: Configure the SCORM course so that it becomes unavailable once the final attempt is completed.
<Compatibility settings>
- Force completed: The exam status will be set to "Completed" automatically.
- Auto-continue: Automatically displays available learning content.
- Auto-commit: Automatically saves SCORM content to the database.
- Mastery score overrides status: SCORM scores will override scores recorded in Moodle.
